Safety instruction for magnetic car flagpoles

It is the costumer who has the responsibility to make sure that the flagpole is fixed firmly to the chassis when driving the car.

The following safety instruction must be followed very carefully by the costumer.

  • Magnetic car flagpoles are designed for ceremonial use in very, very slow speed only. Serious personal injury or property damage could result from misuse of these products.
  • It's tested that the magnetic flagpoles are fixed firmly to the chassis in a speed up to 80 km/h for vertically mounted flagpole and 130 km/h for horizontally mounted flagpole under the following conditions:
  • All safety instructions have been followed.
  • Only a single sided flag with a maximum size of 20x30 cm and made in textile with a maximum weight of 130 gr/m2 have been used.
  • The maximum speed of the wind was 5m/sec
  • It's also  tested that the magnetic flagpoles are fixed firmly to the chassis in a speed up to 50 km/h for vertically mounted flagpole and 90 km/h for horizontally mounted flagpole under the following conditions:
  • All safety instructions have been been followed.
  • A double single sided flag, made in textile with a maximum weight of 130 gr/m2, with a third layer between and a maximum size of 20x30 cm have been used.
  • The maximum speed of the wind was 5m/sec
  • Do not use flags bigger then 20x30 cm (8x12") made in textile with a maximum weight of 130 gr/m2. Heavier or larger flags will increase the wind load and can cause the flagpoles to turn out of position or detach.
  • The conditions above are not valid in a car crash. In such an event, the flagpole will come loose and could cause serious personal injury or property damage, therefore, it's recommended that car may only run in a' very, very slow speed, much lower then the maximum speed mentioned above.
  • The mounting surface for the flagpole has to be flat and is not allowed to be curved. If the surface is curved or covered by dirt, ice etc., the magnetic effect will be reduced, and the flagpole will not be fixed firmly to the chassis.
  • This is extremely important when, for an example, when flagpole is mounted on for example, the bonnet. If the flagpole is detached from the bonnet, it could hit and damage the windscreen and also flew over the roof and hit people or cars behind.
  • The flagpoles have to be mounted only on materials which can be fully magnetic, such as steel sheet metal, and not, for example, on non-magnetic materias,l such as aluminium (on some Mercedes and Audi cars), or on an area that have been repaired with, for example, a plastic material.
  • The flagpoles have to be mounted in such a way that the driver's views are not noticeably impaired.
  • To protect the paint surface from damage, be sure that the mounting surface is clean, dust-free and dry
